Lumique

The MET-AMS 2023, held in Amsterdam from November 1 to 3, was more than just an event—it was a confluence of technology, culture, and creativity, offering a sanctuary for artists and tech enthusiasts to explore and interact. Lumique, with its innovative portal for web3 artists, was at the heart of this confluence, embracing the new connections and insights that MET-AMS 2023 had to offer.

As we navigated through the myriad of exhibits and talks, we were enchanted by the diversity and the sheer ingenuity that every artist and speaker brought to the table. Among the artists that captivated our attention were the exceptionally talented photographer Hugo Korhonen, the digital illustrator known as ALIENQUEEN, and the 3D environmental artist Idil Dursun (Jarvinart). Their artistry not only showcased the boundless realms of creativity but also the seamless blend of technology and art, something Lumique strives to provide through its portal.

The speaker sessions were a treasure trove of knowledge, with pioneers like Jeff Staple of StaplePigeon, Oliver Scherenberg of WEB3LEX, and Tim Dierckxsens of Venly sharing their insights into the digital world. In particular, the concept of WEB3LEX, an open database of crypto law and legislation, resonated with us profoundly. Oliver Scherenberg's talk illustrated the imperative of legal frameworks in the evolving crypto space, and how platforms like WEB3LEX are paving the way for a more structured and secure digital future.

Inspired by the WEB3LEX idea, we are thrilled to explore the integration of this open database into the Lumique portal. We believe that by incorporating a reliable source of crypto law and legislation, we can provide a more robust and informed platform for our artists, ensuring they navigate the web3 space securely and confidently.

MET-AMS 2023 was more than just an event; it was a catalyst that spurred new ideas, fostered new connections, and reinforced Lumique's mission to bridge the gap between web2 and web3 for artists. As we reminisce about the event, we are infused with an invigorated sense of purpose and a bolstered resolve to continue evolving and enriching the Lumique platform for our cherished community of artists.
